Summary0016775: Ruler doesn't stay visible!
DescriptionThe ruler doesn't stay visible as you change selected filters in the pipeline browser. This needs to be fixed.

I should give an example.
* can.exo. Apply.
* Sources/ Ruler. Apply.
* Now, select the can.
Ruler goes away. It needs to remain visible.

I'm sure the issue is that the entirety of the ruler's representation is considered a 3D widget. I think the requested change would be to make the line and label be represented as geometry/annotation.

There should still be a 3D widget, but it really should only be used for placing the annotation, not representing it.
