Summary0005554: Animations of camera around focal point
DescriptionRight now, the only way to animate the camera is to set its position at various keyframes. The problem is that the most common camera animations are rotations around objects. The problem is, the linear interpolation of the position around the object is hard to set up and yields a very poor animation.

In addition to setting a position in a keyframe, it should also be possible to specify changes in the Azimuth and Elevation which will cause incremental rotations about the focal point (much like the respective methods in vtkCamera).

It would be really nice to get this fixed for PV 3.4. At the latest, this bug/feature should be fixed for PV 3.6. It is commonly used functionality in some of our competition's products.

Do for 3.6 only it not too complicated, else 3.8.

It's now possible to create camera animations around a focal point (although not in the way prescribed by this bug). So I am marking this resolved.

Lets consider this done and see what feedback we get with the 3.6 release.
