The new default color map has the end color points changed to less saturated colors because its hard to maintain perceptual linearity in those colors. So to get back to the old color map, you have to restore both the color space and actual color values. There are a couple of ways to do so.
1. The old default is available as one of the presets as always. Click the "Choose Preset" button and select the "Blue to Red Rainbow". The will restore the whole old state at once.
2. Change the colors by hand. Click each of the end points and select a new color in the color chooser dialog box.
3. Just don't use the rainbow color map because it sucks.
Whatever you choose, you can always hit the "Make Default" button to make whatever color map you like the one that is always picked by default. |
