DescriptionParaView core, XP, local server.
Open file lap_joint.e. (Ask Berk for this file if you are at Kitware, Alan if you are at Sandia.)

Color by stress_
Turn on the Color Legend
File/ Save Animation/ Save Animation. Save as an .avi file.

Now, play the output movie. Notice that the colors are very, very much darker than on the ParaView screen. Notice that the color legend hasn't darkened.

This is a bug. It needs to be fixed for 3.6

I think this is an old bug. This happens when saving screenshot or movies using offscreen (default behaviour) on windows, since windows switches to a broken software implementation that does not support multiple lights.

Go to application settings and disable "Use offscreen rendering for screenshots". Does that help?

Utkarsh is correct, it is fine on screen rendered. We have decided to close this bug. Tested local server.
