Summary | 0013697: excessive memory allocated with glyphs
Description | When I load a structured grid dataset and then apply glyphs (wind vectors) PV crashes because it runs out of memory. The grid is 153 x 107 x 39. It looks like the glyph 3d class is being very liberal with memory allocation when initializing arrays. It's using the number of points in the input dataset rather than the number of points that will actually be glyphed then after glyphing takes place the sizes are corrected. Consider having the filter simply size the arrays based on the number of points that it will actually glyph. My thanks to Burlen Loring, LBL, who identified the specifics of this problem for me.
