| Summary | 0014506: pick center does not select point on object | ||||||||
| Description | (testing version 4.1rc2) Pick Center on a simple object (seen from e.g. z axis) sets x and y correctly but z is not on the object. Happens both in perspective and parallel projection. The z seems to be random and can actually happen to be outside the clipping plane. | ||||||||

Some more info - I get the same behaviour in 4.0.1. - attached the vtk file (unstructured grid) that gives the problem - I do not get it if e.g. I generate a box (sources->Box) with same bounds - it does work correctly if I rotate the object to a very oblique angle |

it also works if I first do a Filter->Extract surface |

I found this in end to end testing a few minutes ago. Affects my users, thus moving to Sandia project. |
