| Summary | 0014554: TableToStructuredGrid filter doesn't read coordinates from the table | ||||||||
| Description | Thank you for putting in TableTOX filters, which is making it easier for me to show scientists in my vis class how to load their data! In trying to read a set of data files from a geology collaborator, I'm having trouble getting the data into a structured grid. I can use TableToPoints to get the data into a set of points. I then save that data as CSV and attempt to re-import and then use the TableToStructuredGrid data on the result. However, the coordinates don't seem to be ending up in the right place. I saw a posting on one mailing list that mentioned that the points have to be stored in a particular order, despite them having explicit coordinates on each point in the table. I'm off to write a custom converter. In the future, it would be cool if the filter could handle this case. p.s. If it could handle grids that were not cubic, filling in missing values with NaN or something else as specified, that would also let me avoid several steps in the process. | ||||||||
