| Description | At the moment in the ParaView default representation is 'Surface' and it can't be customized. An aim of this improvement is adding in the ParaView settings default representation mode (drop-down list for example, which will contain 'Points', 'Wireframe', 'Surface', ..., etc.). This representation should be applied to the newly created presentations. | ||||||||

the default representation is surface only for certain type of dataset, it can be sometime outline or even slice see ./ParaViewCore/ServerManager/Rendering/vtkSMRepresentationTypeDomain.cxx We could modify the default rep, when not in particular case. |

OK, let's drop the idea of a preference for the default representation since it is a little bit complicated. You can close this issue. |
