Summary0015667: Color legend is crazy for very precise data.
DescriptionThe color legend gives crazy number of digits of precision.

* Linux, master, local server.
* Open can.exo. All vars on. Apply.
* Calculator filter. Use formula: GlobalElementId*0.000001+1
* Color by Result.

We don't need 20 characters of precision!!!!

Please make the default "automatic mode" the same as the suggested non automatic mode on the Color Legend Editor - i.e., %-#6.3g

Alan - be sure to test both bugs. Lets make sure they both resolve.

Alan, I think 3 digit may be too few. It certainly is for the case you illustrate (labels are 1.00, 1.00, 1.01). I propose 6.

I attached a screenshot of the new precision with the fixed font size.

Cory - That looks really good. Lets go with what you have - I believe 6.

commit bf81f8ea407cdb84fa8623750d3b03f2cf88221c
Author: Cory Quammen <cory.quammen@kitware.com>
Date: Mon Aug 24 13:26:03 2015 -0400

    Reduced maximum digits of precision in scalar bar labels

    Was 20, now is 6.

    Also, fixed a bug in the computation of the height of the label that
    was causing the label text to be much smaller than the desired font
    size specified in the scalar bar settings.

Tested local server, master, Linux. Looks nice.

Note that there are too many labels with Log scale. I have related a different bug.

Closing this one.
