Summary | 0015737: Windows ParaView binaries do not have associated icons
Description | When installing the official ParaView-4.4.0-Qt4-Windows-64bit.exe, it appears that the paraview.exe program does not have the ParaView icon resource. The shortcuts to paraview application thus show the ugly default application icon.

I believe this has been since fixed. Do let me know if the nightly binaries have the same issue. |

I tried ParaView-4.4.0-185-g4e6f9a4-Qt4-OpenGL2-Windows-64bit.exe and the issue is solved. However I detected another problem with this version as you can see on the attached image. I have already seen this problem with Qt 4.8.6/7 (4.8.4 is known to work well). |

Doh! Okay...guess we'll have to revert the superbuild to 4.8.4. Ben, mind doing that? |

So ParaView 5.0 will not embed Qt 5.0? |
(0035310) Utkarsh Ayachit (administrator) 2015-10-19 12:56 |
No, it will not. No final version of Qt 5 has a critical fix for Unix that we need. We'll wait till the fix for that Qt bug gets in a release (which seems like will be in time for ParaView 5.1). |
