Summary | 0015922: Larger icons for high DPI screens
Description | This is somewhat related to http://www.paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=15826, [^] but proposes (for now) a different solution. I'm using ParaView on a Dell 4K screen, where some elements in the GUI become really small. Using the general Qt4 configuration tool setting the font size large enough makes the menus and labels readable and usable again. However, basically all icons are too small, making it quite hard to use (e.g. the selection icons at the top of a view are displayed in 4x4mm :)). Would it be possible to have two sets of icons, one normal and one large (by simply scaling all icons to twice the resolution, maybe even at run-time) so that they become larger and more usable? This would just be a hackish workaround until real high DPI support is available (e.g. through Qt5).
