Summary | 0005622: save animation causes program and machine to freeze
Description | I have built paraview-2.6.1 on my Opteron x86_64 machine using gcc 4.1.2, with the option to use ffmpeg for movie encoding. Everything works fine until I try to save an animation, for example in avi format. After setting the frame resolution and rate and clicking Save, the program and my machine freeze, and the machine must be rebooted. The ParaView trace file does not show anything happening at the end right before the machine hangs, so I don't know what's going on.
Additional Information | I am running a current version of ubuntu and I have an Nvidia GeForce 6800 graphics card, in case that is relevant.

Please reopen if this is still an issue. I have never seen this unless the OpenGL drivers were bad. |
