I downloaded ParaView 3.3, and that one is letting me choose between gradient magnitude and each of the components. Version 3.2.1 doesn't let me.

Thanks,

Alessandro

On Sat, Jun 28, 2008 at 5:16 PM, Alessandro A. In addition, the label for the color bar says "Gradient Magnitude" even though that is not the filter I selected.
How do you know it is giving you just the magnitude? Are you trying to
color by it? The filter produces a gradient vector so you should be
able to access individual components of the vector.
