The difference is due to vtkSMRenderViewProxy::CreateDefaultRepresentation returning either an UnstructuredGridRepresentation for unstructured data, UniformGridRepresentation for image data and GeometryRepresentation for other datasets. The representations from the plugins only appear with the GeometryRepresentation. Do you know how to fix this?<div>

By "added specifically for a type" I was referring to how ParaView adds a volume representation for unstructured dataset (and volume and slice for an image dataset). I would like my representation to be available for all datasets.<div>
