This is good to know. <div><br></div><div>On linux we can find this extensions via glxinfo not sure about windows or mac. May be we can put a line on the wiki on how to query GL extensions? I remember some tool on windows wglinfo. GLEW might have a test app that can query the extension may be? </div>

Francois says it requires openGL 2.1 plus floating point texture extension (GL_ARB_texture_float) at a minimum. Determining if the hardware supports GL_ARB_texture_float probably can't be determined easily from product documentation. You're best bet it is to focus on cards that support OpenGL 3.0 and/or Direct X 10.<br>
