GeForce and Quadro cards : </font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Quadro support quad-buffering, which
is usefull if you want to have stereo. The newer geforce cards may support
it also due to the current buzz around stereo.</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">There is also support of g-sync cards,
which can be usefull on tiled-displays + stereo systems.</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">We noticed some performance differences
for wireframe representations : it seems that quadro are faster than geforce
for this kind of representations (which is kind of logical since those
representations are not often used in games...)</font>

<br><font size=3>Quadro drivers tend to come with optimizations for commercial applications
like AutoCAD. VTK/ParaView just make standard GL calls so you won't gain
anything by using a similarly configured Quadro over a GeForce card. On
the other hand, Quadro's tend to have faster GPUs and more memory. If you
don't need lots of GPU memory, GeForce cards in general offer a pretty
good cost/performance tradeoff.<br>

a Tesla or Quadro on a cluster. This is due to the ability to configure
those cards to work without a display (see the release notes for the latest
drivers though).</font>
