Because with .vtp file, it can't find the right reader to use. </span>So why there is that error "No reader found for /home/thtran/myfile.vtp" with python shell and JavaScript Terminal (I'm sorry, I didn't mention that I used the full path to the file)<br>
</div></blockquote><div><br></div><div>I believe if the file data does not match the file extension, Paraview gives you the option to tell it what the file actually contains. Like I said, if you choose Legacy VTK and it works, then the file should have actually been named .vtk instead of .vtp.</div>
