      You should be able to install the Qt libraries in any directory,
      I've been using 4.8.2 (
      <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;
        charset=ISO-8859-1">
      <a href="http://qt-project.org/downloads">http://qt-project.org/downloads</a>).
      Once you unpack the binaries into your desired location, you need
      to prepend PATH/LD_LIBRARY_PATH appropriately, and when building
      paravlew point to your install via pv's "qmake exe" variable. This
      worked for me.<br>

      Right.&nbsp; I understand, and fortunately for me, the systems I mostly
      work

      on are in our group and I can basically install what I want.&nbsp; If
      there's

      any room for negotiation, the "epel" repository is somewhat
      semi-official,

      kinda.

      Otherwise then, I hope Utkarsh can remove the dependency!
