<div>vtu file, pvtu file, Paraview, random non-zero values shown</div><div><br></div><div>==== Background: ====</div><div>I have two vtu files, both of which have one-dimensional unstructured mesh. File 1 (<span style="color:rgb(217,40,35);font-family:Menlo;font-size:11px">HeatConductionCOuput_0.vtu</span>) has PointData, with name "stress". File 2 (<span style="color:rgb(217,40,35);font-family:Menlo;font-size:11px">SodShockTubeCOutput_0.vtu</span>) has CellData "temp" and "temp2".</div>
<div>Both of them works fine with Paraview, if read-in separately.</div><div><br></div><div>==== Issue ====</div><div>I then have a pvtu file to combine them, (<span style="color:rgb(217,40,35);font-family:Menlo;font-size:11px">combined_0.pvtu</span>), which has PointData "stress" and CellData "temp". Paraview displays this combined file well with "stree" and "temp" loaded in. Since CellData "temp" does not exist in the <span style="color:rgb(217,40,35);font-family:Menlo;font-size:11px">HeatConductionCOuput_0</span> piece, I expected Paraview should treat them as "zeros". However, Paraview sometimes gives random non-zero values on this piece (please see attachment).</div>
