0013345: SpyPlot Derived Properties create bad arrays when no materials are present.
The derived properties option still creates arrays even when it has
no materials to use to derive the common properties from.

When you now run the cth reader with derived properties turned on with no materials enabled you won't get a Derived Volume or Derived Average Density property.
