Summary | 0016079: Possible negative magnitude when coloring by vectors with angular periodic filter | ||||
Description | The range on the color bar sometimes gives strange results when using the Angular Periodic Filter. In particular it is possible to get negative values for a vector magnitude. To replicate, do the following. 1. Create a plane source. Origin = [0,0,0], Point1 = [1,0,0], Point2 = [0,1,0]. Apply. 2. Add the calculator filter. Make the expression "coords" (just the point coordinates). Apply. 3. Add Angular Periodic Filter. Rotation Angle = 90. Axis = Z. Apply. 4. Color by "Result" and "Magnitude" Note that the range of the magnitude starts at -1, which is clearly wrong. | ||||
