| Summary | 0008827: Large cell selections on images can crash ParaView | ||||
| Description | When you do a selection on an image that selects a large amount of cells, it has a tendency to crash ParaView. A large part of the problem is probably the extraction of the cell edges on the selected cells. This is basically a conversion from structured to unstructured and can take up a lot more memory than the original data. Is there some way to limit the amount of geometry already created? To reproduce, create a wavelet source with large extents (e.g. -100 to 100 in each direction) and then do a select cells through for the whole data set. | ||||
