Summary0009007: 2d axis enhancements
Description* If possible, it would be really nice to have an optional grid right across the object - so you could actually figure out where some point on the object was without moving it half off the screen. Visibility selectable.

* If possible, add axis labels that stick to the edges of the objects. This would be more professional looking for using with screenshots that go in PowerPoint slides. Then, allow user to select which type of axes he/she wants.

* Some way of getting more axis ticks - that are obvious what they represent - would be really nice.

One more note - combine the controls here with the 3d cube axis. To a user, an axis is an axis.

This is now fixed. In ParaView 3.98.0, we changed the way 2D render views were done, consequently, 2D render views are no longer different than 3D render views. We simply change the interaction mode to 2D and users can indeed toggle the mode by clicking on the "2D/3D" button shown in the toolbar.

Now the 2D axis is indeed same as the "Cube Axes" for the 3D views and one supports all the requested features, as far as I can tell.

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! Very, very nice.

Tested remote server, master, Linux. Used Mandlebrot.
