SPCTH Issues
Lisa has a few data sets that she is trying to visualize on Red RoSE. Nobody but Lisa can see them. They are ~100 Million elements, CTH. Having trouble running, threshold, cell to point, and extract CTH parts has a bug in it. There are pieces of the mesh that are not showing up.
Action items:
- Alan will make a debug build on Red RoSE.
- Dave Karelitz will make a programmable filter that will spit out the output from the reader to verify that it is reading the files correctly.
- Dave will get himself sucked into the project so that he can work on debugging PV.
- Berk will be the point of contact at Kitware.
Python Interpreter
Greg is interested in comparing things in two different meshes.
July Build Goals
Display Re-architecture (Utkarsh)
Only the Cave views are left.
Multiple Output (Berk)
Done.
Test Compositing (Amy)
It is now running on the dashboard.
Setup valgrind (Amy)
The cause of the problems with the suppression problems was the version of valgrind was not understanding its own suppression files. An upgrade to valgrid fixed the problems. There are still a few more suppressions to put in.
Multiblock Client Delivery (Dave D)
Dave added the last piece he needed. Put in a filter that merges blocks together correctly.
Still has to do the min/max filters and perhaps some other filters. But otherwise considered done.
Animation GUI Panel (Clint)
Clint just got back from vacation and has started working on it again.
Switch to new Exodus reader (Eric)
Ongoing.
DART metadata support (Eric)
Done.
Exodus writer (Eric)
Needs to add a test. Otherwise it seems to be working.
Fix Linux progress in client server (Clint)
Dave K. just left before we had a chance to ask if it worked.
August Build Goals
Clean up memory issues (Amy)
Not really started. Still futzing with valgrind.
Multiblock inspector (Dave D.)
No progress.
Volume render blocks of multiblock data (Dave D.)
No progress.
Support server disconnect animation (Utkarsh)
Debugging.
Chart vector support (Mark)
Have not started yet.
Better custom filters (Berk)
Will start right after some python module improvements.
Misc lookmarks (Eric)
No progress.
Frustum selection (Dave D.)
No progress.
Fast temporal plots (Eric)
Updated Wiki page for that.
Global exodus variable (Eric)
No progress. Implementation will probably be similar for fast temporal plots.
Better labeling selection and datasets (Yumin)
Put in labeling representation. It is working. Also have the GUI component that interacts with the selection and labeling style. Will check with Berk before committing to repository.
Remaining chart features (Mark)
(Includes context menu interactivity)
Working on legend support and axis issues.
