Discussion

The team discussed whether to allow/disallow/encourage/discourage the use of C++ references in the code. There wasn't a strong consensus, but Berk expressed that there was no "reference ban" imposed by VTK, and that we should not give up language features merely for the sake of consistency.

ETI discussed dockable windows/tabs a'la Visual Studio Express, and suggested 6 weeks' work to implement a similar system. Although the team is fairly interested in having this feature, the consensus was that the timing isn't right and there isn't any penalty for postposing it, so we will do without for the time being.
