it seems the preferred place for discussion is the vtk-users mailing list.
should there really be separate sections for C++ and Python? Would it be better to have one TOC for the examples with links to C++ and Python code under the same headings?
Do we want I/O for everything? I.e. I/O
VTP VTU BMP JPG etc
or do we want I/O inside of a category? i.e.

Read VTP Write VTP
Working with Images
