[Paraview] reader plugin error

[Maxwell, Thomas P. (GSFC-606.2)[SCIENCE APPLICATIONS INTL CORP]]

I have implemented a NetCDF4 reader plugin under MacOSX.  When the client plugin is loaded into the paraview client it appears in  the "local plugins" list of the "Plugin Manager" with an "Error" property.   Is there any way to obtain some feedback on what error is being registered?
