[Paraview] Saving PNL image (no screenshot)

Hi,

I wrote a python-script for Paraview 3.14 which saves a Screenshot. I would like to run this script in the background but unfortunately writeImage won't save any updated picture because the window lost focus. Is there any function to save a picture form the actual view with the window in the background?
