| Summary | 0012132: Two different readers have confusingly similar names "RAW Files" and "Raw (binary)" | ||||||||
| Description | Perhaps the name for the vtkVisItRAWReader should be made distinct from the Raw (binary) reader so that users do not choose the visit reader by accident. A further problem is that in the "Open Data With..." dialog, the RAW Files reader is listed way before the Raw (binary) reader, so it's easy to choose the wrong one. I also reported a bug to sort the list of readers, so at least then the user would see both the Raw readers together and might notice the choice. http://www.vtk.org/Bug/view.php?id=12131 [^] | ||||||||

This is true for many readers in general (I had problems when I loaded the Analyze plugin in ParaView). Maybe we start showing the classnames in the list showing the reader choices or something like that. |
