Summary | 0003927: Make plots part of main view
Description | Rather than put plots in docable windows, they should be part of the main view. Thus, when you split up a window, you do not necessarily get a render window. You can set it to be a plot. There is lots of logic required for this type of interaction. Some if it is being specified on the wiki page at http://www.paraview.org/ParaView3/index.php/New_Object_View [^]

Plot views are now part of main view. As per the group recommendataion, splitting windows now splits into empty frames which get filled automatically when user accepts a new filter or toggels visibility of an existing one. |

I notice that the splitting does not happen exactly as currently specified on the Wiki. On the Wiki, the current view is always split along the vertical axis with a 66-33 split (the original view takes up 2/3 space and the new plot takes up 1/3). The current implementation splits the view by the longer axis evenly. Either is probably fine, but let's bring up to the group how we want to do this. |
