Summary | 0004588: Probing of groups of groups
Description | I have noticed that some filters does not support "groups of groups" as its input. Thanks Berg, it has been fixed for Glyph filter (http://public.kitware.com/pipermail/paraview/2006-November/004080.html [^]) It would be nice, if similar patch could be done for the Probe filter too. Unfortunately, such state is not even detected and reported in some comprehensible way. It would also be nice if a module, not supporting groups of groups, could clearly report that. For instance, in case of Probe, I receive an error message from vtkXYPlotActor instead of probe itself. It is a bit confusing. To reproduce this behavior try simply: SphereSource->GroupDataSets->GroupDataSets->Probe

As we focus on multiblock support in PV 3.2, we should take a look at all the filters (and views) to ensure that they do something reasonable with the data. |
