Summary | 0004670: Hard to reset scalar range
Description | Even when you have selected "Use the Scalar Range from the Data" in the "Color Scale Editor" dialog box, the scalar range does not always follow changes in the data (for example, changes in filter ivars or time step). That is not a bug itself (in fact, after much debate it has been determined a feature). However, when this happens, there is no easy way to force the scalar bar to reset. Right now you have to open the Color Scale Editor, click the "Specify the Scalar Range" radio button, close the dialog, reopen the dialog, then restore to "Use the Scalar Range from the Data". In contrast, PV 2 has a button right in the display panel that allows you to reset the range.

This has been fixed (I probably submitted another bug somewhere). |
