Summary | 0004766: Add FFMPEG to build
Description | Now that Kitware has finally navigated the rat's nest of licensing issues with MPEG-4, we should be able to add FFMPEG to the repository so that we don't have to do special builds, right?

No. We have to keep track of "number of sales". I am not comfortable including ffmpeg source in the source distribution. We will include it in the binaries we distribute and keep track of downloads as well as the number of Sandia users. Also, I don't want to maintain a cmakelists.txt for ffmpeg. It is a beast. Also, ffmpeg contains other patented stuff. It is a can of worms. |
