July Build Goals
Display Re-architecture (Utkarsh)
Many things are in, but tile display and cave modules are not working.
Multiple Output (Berk)
Server manager stuff is in. Once the display rearchitecture is done, this will be finished.
Test Compositing (Amy)
The offscreen rendering feature request was resolved last Friday. This should allow us to complete this goal easily.
Setup valgrind (Amy)
Kitware has a machine that is runing valgrind on a subset of the tests. Still in the process of supporessing valgrind errors related to Qt, python, X11, etc. that we cannot fix.
Multiblock Client Delivery (Dave D)
Just about to commit something that will get the cases where it is used in pvpython (fetch command). After that work on the histogram which uses a slightly different path.
Animation GUI Panel (Clint)
Partway through integrating with server manager. Will take a couple more weeks. It will not be done before the July tag.
Switch to new Exodus reader (Eric)
The new exodus reader does not support the exodus metadata. The metadata contains information about node and side sets.
Lets punt on this metadata for now.
DART metadata support (Eric)
Dave K. will talk with Eric about this.
Exodus writer (Eric)
The writer is on OK shape (after it supports DART metadata.
Chart – better zoom, legends, line styles and axis controls (Mark)
Been working on the interactions this last week. Does pan on left button, zoom on middle, zoom box on right.
Fix Linux progress in client server (Clint)
Green buttons
The problem is that Windows XP has special features that does not allow us to easily change the color of the button.
After talking about this for a while, we decided that the easiest solution would be to put an icon of a big green arrow to the left of the Apply button that becomes visible only when apply is enabled.
Mark or Clint will work on this.
